Fundraising at college or university
Are you looking to organise an event as part of your course? Or, are you part of a Sports Club or Society and looking to fundraise as part of your group?
We know that it has been more difficult to connect with your peers due to the current situation. Organising an online event for your members can be a great way to get to know each other, have some fun, and raise funds whilst doing it. It could be an online quiz, a wellbeing event, or movie club.
Being active isn’t just good for our physical health; it’s also proven to have a positive effect on our mental health and wellbeing. Setting a challenge is also a great way to fundraise.
Perhaps you would like to run, walk or cycle a specific distance across the week or month. You could set yourself a team target and ask for sponsors. Sharing your success on social media and your motivations for taking part are a great way to encourage donations. You could even challenge other groups to take part too, we know sports clubs like a little bit of competition.
Perhaps you would like to take on an organised 10K, Half Marathon or Marathon event? Have a look at our events page for more details.
Inspired by our Five Ways to Wellbeing advice, you can take care of your own mental health while you transform the lives of people all across Scotland! The way we fundraise has changed due to coronavirus, but you can still take on some fun challenges Have a look at our Virtual Fundraising Toolkit.
The money you raise will help to fund vital services, promote positive mental health and deliver positive change for Scotland’s mental health.
Whatever you decide to do, we’d love to be part of your team. Get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
