Get involved in 2023

Celebrate with us

We can’t do what we do without brilliant fundraisers. Whether you’re fundraising by yourself, with friends or with colleagues, we’ve got tonnes of great ideas – or you might have one of your own! Whether your thing is baking, running, dancing, or something else entirely, we’d love to welcome you to the team.

If you'd like to join #TeamSAMH, you can download our Centenary Toolkit below, check out our events calendar to find an organised activity near you, or find out more about fundraising for SAMH here.

Campaign with us

As we celebrate 100 years of SAMH, it’s important to recognise that we wouldn’t be here without the incredible support of our campaigners – and as we look to the future, we hope to see many more people helping us to campaign for change.

We’d love it if you could make this year, the year you campaign for better mental health in Scotland. Here’s how:

  • Follow us on social media and help to cascade the message.
You’ll find us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Sign up to our campaigning newsletter to be kept up to date on everything we’re up to, including information on our campaigns, events, research, new resources, and much more.
  • Become a media volunteer. We know that personal stories are hugely impactful and inspiring, so if you have a story to tell, we’d love to hear from you. From helping shape our services, to creating content for our website and social media channels, to speaking to journalists – there are lots of ways to get involved, and we’ll work with you to find what suits your needs.
Find out more about becoming a media volunteer. If you’d like to have a chat about media volunteering and see if it’s for you, contact us on communications@samh.org.uk
  • Contact your Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP). If there’s an issue you feel strongly about, you can take it to your local MSP – the best way to get in touch is by email or letter, but you can also attend a local MSP surgery to chat to your MSP face to face.
