Take on Edinburgh's most iconic hills, enjoy spectacular views across the capital, and raise vital funds for mental health in Scotland. 

From Arthur's Seat to Calton Hill, you'll discover breathtaking scenery, test yourself physically, and help make a difference for mental health across Scotland.

This self-led challenge gives you the freedom to take on all seven peaks at a pace that suits you. Complete the challenge in a single day for an epic adventure, or spread your climbs across a longer period.  

Whether you prefer walking or running, every step you take will help support SAMH's life-changing work.

The challenge 

The route covers approximately 24.4km with around 900m of ascent, taking in seven of Edinburgh's best-known hills and viewpoints:

  • Castle Rock 

  • Craiglockhart Hill 

  • The Braids 

  • Blackford Hill 

  • Arthur's Seat 

  • Calton Hill 

You can choose your own route and schedule, making this a challenge that's as flexible as it is rewarding.
