Edinburgh Running Festival

Join us at the Edinburgh Running Festival on Sunday 2nd August 2026
In view of the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the iconic Arthur’s Seat, these undulating half marathon, 10k and 5k routes will take you on closed roads around Edinburgh’s Holyrood Park.
This is the perfect opportunity to take in some of the sights of Edinburgh, whilst bagging yourself a PB or tackling a new challenge.
You can expect a friendly team of marshals to help guide you around the course and the SAMH team will be there to cheer you over the finish, a lively and well-serviced event village with plenty of food and drink options including excellent warm coffee and free goodies from our partners at the finish line after your hard effort.
We have discounted charity spaces available and we would love to have you join Team SAMH in championing mental health in Scotland:
- Half Marathon: £20 registration fee
- 10k : £10 registration fee
- 5k: £10 registration fee
In return for your discounted charity place we would ask for each individual to raise a minimum sponsorship of:
- Half Marathon: £300
- 10k : £150
- 5k: £100
