Aberdeen Dodgeball Showdoon & Family Fun Day

Get ready to dodge, duck and dive at the Aberdeen Dodgeball Showdoon 2026. Oh, and we should mention...it’s fancy dress!

This community knock-out tournament is organised by SAMH, in partnership with Aberdeen Sports Village and The University of Aberdeen. The event takes place at Balgownie Playing Fields on Saturday 16th May 2026.

It's just £5 per player to enter the tournament. We're also asking each team to get involved in supporting Scotland's mental health by agreeing to a fundraising pledge as part of the Aberdeen Dodgeball Showdoon.

Whether you’re a dab-hand at dodgeball or just looking for a day of entertainment with friends and family – everyone is welcome to take part, no matter your confidence with sports or fitness. You might be the ‘Dodgeball Dons’ or the ‘Doric Dodgers’ - but as long as you can dodge and throw, you might be our 2026 Champions!

Please note: You must be 18 or over to enter a team in the Aberdeen Dodgeball Showdoon. People of all ages are welcome to spectate and take part in the family fun day.

Bring together a team of between 4 and 6 friends, family members or colleagues for this one-day, knock-out tournament in support of Scotland’s mental health.

Think of a catchy team name, choose your fancy dress theme and “throw” yourselves into this hilarious event full of laughter, silliness and friendly competition – all for a great cause!
