15th September 2025

This September, we are excited to launch our first Gifts in Wills campaign, to raise awareness of this vital source of income.

Many people, after taking care of their loved ones, choose to leave a gift in their Will to a cause that matters to them. Legacies are crucial to ensuring we can continue to provide over 70 services in communities across Scotland, creating a lasting impact for people who need support with their mental health.

Last year we supported over 28,000 people, but like many charities, we’re facing ongoing economic pressures and uncertainty. We need your help to continue.

These challenges have contributed to the current mental health crisis. The number of people reporting a mental health problem has doubled over the last 10 years, and over 50,000 people were admitted to hospital with mental health related conditions from 2023 to 2024.

By including a gift in your Will to SAMH, you have the chance to transform lives in a way that few other contributions can. It may well be the most significant single donation you ever give to a charity, allowing you to make an impact that might not be possible during your lifetime.

As the world continues to evolve, the need for understanding, support, and care for mental wellbeing will remain as urgent as ever. Leaving a gift in your Will to SAMH is one of the most impactful ways you can help us meet this ongoing challenge.
