The Nook

Our national network of free walk-in mental health support hubs

What is The Nook?

The Nook offers drop-in mental health support in a safe, stigma-free and non-clinical environment – without the need for an appointment.

Walk-in support hubs where anyone can visit to speak about mental health, The Nooks will provide visitors with access to support for themselves, or people they care about.

Our first Nook is now in Glasgow’s Merchant City. Our skilled and compassionate staff are ready to support you, seven days a week.

A national network

Our ambition is to support tens of thousands of people across Scotland. With your help, we will open future Nooks in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Inverclyde, Lanarkshire and beyond.

Help us support more communities

The Nook in Glasgow is already here, providing free, accessible, walk-in mental health support.

But this is just the beginning.

We want to open Nooks in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Lanarkshire, Inverclyde and Edinburgh by 2028, but to do this, we need public support. That’s why we have launched our first ever major public appeal.

We will be aiming to raise £10 million over the next three years to pay for setting up and running The Nooks, so that we can help tens of thousands of people to get help fast.
