Redhall is a mental health service based in an award winning walled garden/six acre estate in Edinburgh. In a beautiful outdoor setting we promote recovery from mental health difficulties through the medium of organic gardening, conservation, team working and IT/admin work. There is a strong group work emphasis with staff working collaboratively with the people attending our service to build a centre of excellence. This job requires high levels of stamina and personal resilience.

We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic and practical individual to join our team. Applicants should have:

Essential
• Good DIY skills – basic carpentry, plumbing, tool/machine maintenance
• Experience of sourcing and ordering materials and equipment
• Good understanding of Health and Safety Assessment procedures.
• Good organisational skills

Desirable
• Good working knowledge of horticultural machinery
• Experience and good understanding of working with mental health issues
• Driver

Glasgow Personalisation Services

Contract: 1 x Permanent & 2 x Fixed Term (6 months)

SAMH is currently looking to recruit Support Workers across Glasgow to provide a variety of practical and emotional support to people who use our services. You will be working with individuals with severe and enduring mental health problems and complex needs in our personalisation services, working in the local community. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to make a difference to peoples’ lives and support them to achieve their identified outcomes.
You will be able to demonstrate good communication skills and a mature attitude together with adaptability and enthusiasm. Knowledge and experience in supporting people with mental health problems is desirable. As the posts will involve a variety of shift patterns and on-calls as necessary, you will be flexible in the hours and shifts you are available to work.


Although based in one service, you must also be available to work in services across Glasgow. Access to your own car is desirable but not essential. Within the posts on offer there are opportunities for a variety of training, personal and career development.
