SAMH STOMP 2020
Join us on 10 October this World Mental Health Day at BT Murrayfield for the iconic stadium stair-climbing challenge with a difference.
Whether you’re taking on the Classic Stomp, pushing yourself on the Extreme Stomp or pulling out all stops and going for the new Ultimate Stomp, this is your chance to be part of the award-winning Stomp, while supporting Scotland’s mental health.
Choose your challenge
Classic Stomp: 4,200
Climb up, down and around the stairs of the south, west and north lower stands of the iconic BT Murrayfield before stepping it up and taking on both the lower and upper east stand.
Extreme Stomp: 7,500
Extreme Stomp lets you take the Classic Stomp challenge to the next level. Facing BT Murrayfield’s tallest staircases and totalling over 7,500 stairs, the Extreme Stomp takes on the Classic Stomp route, PLUS the remaining stairs of the upper stands!

Ultimate Stomp: 22,500

Why SAMH Stomp
We’re glad you asked! Being active isn’t just good for our physical health; it’s also proven to have a positive effect on our mental health and wellbeing.
SAMH Stomp is about coming together to raise vital funds and show your support for Scotland’s mental health. You’ll unite with hundreds of other ‘Stompers’ as part of Team SAMH to take on BT Murrayfield stadium stairs. Whether you’re planning to walk or run those steps, you set the pace and the challenge level.
To take part there’s a registration fee and minimum fundraising pledge for each route:
- Classic Stomp - £20 registration fee, £100 minimum fundraising pledge
- Extreme Stomp - £30 registration fee, £150 minimum fundraising pledge
- Ultimate Stomp - £40 registration fee, £175 minimum fundraising pledge
