Are you ready to step up to the challenge?
SAMH STOMP 2019
After an amazing second year, Scotland’s unique stair climbing challenge, the SAMH Stomp, is back! Come join Team SAMH on 26th October and conquer BT Murrayfield stadium.
Take on one of two routes and challenge yourself in a whole new way and experience BT Murrayfield like you’ve never seen before, all while raising vital funds for Scotland’s mental health.
You can choose from two route options; Stomp or Extreme Stomp. Whether you’re planning to run, walk or a mixture of both, each route provides an experience like no other.
Stomp sets the challenge with over 4,200 stairs. Climb up, down and around the stairs of the south, west and north lower stands of the iconic BT Murrayfield before stepping it up and taking on both the lower and upper east stand. Route map
Extreme Stomp makes this look like a walk in the park. Facing BT Murrayfield’s tallest staircases and totalling over 7,400 stairs, the Extreme Stomp takes on the Stomp route, PLUS the remaining stairs of the upper stands! Route map
You don’t have to be a seasoned runner to take part. This isn’t a race, so you can set your own pace to complete the route. Chip timing is provided if you do want to set yourself an extra challenge.
Being active isn’t just good for our physical health; it’s also proven to have a positive effect on our mental health and wellbeing.
To take part there’s a registration fee and minimum fundraising pledge for each route:
- Stomp - £20 registration fee, £100 minimum fundraising pledge
- Extreme Stomp - £30 registration fee, £150 minimum fundraising pledge
The SAMH Stomp team will be with you every step of the way before, during and after the event. From fundraising tips to training plans, we’ve got you covered! Check out the downloads section below for more information.
