Connect projects

SAMH is delivering support in schools and colleges across the Central Belt, taking a ‘whole school’ approach to mental health and wellbeing, through our Connect Projects.

Our Connect Co-ordinators  deliver workshops, training and direct support to children, young people, parents, carers and school staff, with an emphasis on transitions  from  primary to high school and  high school to college. These transitions can be major life changes for young people, especially for those who are struggling emotionally

Participants tell us:

“[The Connect Project] helped me with a lot of things like boosting my confidence and when going through stressful times...”

“[Talking to the Connect Co-ordinator] has really helped my confidence. If I didn’t have you to talk to I wouldn’t have had someone to help me practice my communication and get better at it”
