SAMH is The Scottish Association for Mental Health

SAMH operates an information service from Monday to Friday between the hours of 2pm and 4pm. Information service staff and volunteers can answer general mental health enquiries, advise you on your rights and signpost you to your local services. We cannot provide medical advice, counselling, financial advice or representation, but we can point you in the direction of someone else who may be able to help you.

NHS Inform is a national health information service.  It provides information on medical conditions, frequently asked questions and how to register with a GP.  Open 8am - 10pm, 7 days.  NHS Inform has useful information online on NHS Inform Mental Health Zone.

The Samaritans

The Samaritans offer free, confidential advice 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Breathing Space

Breathing Spaceis a free, confidential phoneline service for any individual who is experiencing low mood or depression, or who is unusually worried and in need of someone to talk to.

NHS 24

NHS 24works in partnership with local NHS Boards out-of-hours services to provide patients with health advice and help when GP practices are closed.
