In July 2010, SAMH held a launch event showcasing
our research report, There's More to Me. The research found
that lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) people feel that they are more
likely to experience mental health problems.
The launch was held in Glasgow and was attended by over fifty
people. Neil Quinn spoke on behalf of the Glasgow Anti Stigma
Partnership, which funded the research, while Fergus McMillan of
LGBT Youth spoke about the challenges that LGB people face. SAMH's
own Aidan Collins presented the research findings and delegates had
the opportunity to discuss what action they'd like to see in light
of the findings.
